The elegant MC118S is Martinez' first all solid wood guitar.The beautiful mahogany and spruce appearance underline the light, lively but mature tone. This guitar sounds light and intimate with a fullness to the higher registers that is typical of a spruce top. The solid European spruce top will mature over time and will develop even more detail in sound and dynamics.

The playability is, as with any Martinez guitar, impeccable. A dual action trussrod is installed in the neck so this can be adjusted to the players' preference. The mahogany details in the headstock and rosette are testimony to Martinez great sense of design.

The machine heads have a very nice feature in which the shaft becomes friction free thanks to a bearing located at the end of the roller’s shaft, providing a smooth and accurate tuning with a minimum rotating effort!
