Koch Tone Series guitar amplifier "Studiotone" class A
guitar amplifier "Studiotone" class A, 20W head, with FS
In classic cooking tradition, this compact power top sounds much larger and has more features than you would expect from its small appearance. Starting with two EL84 power amplifier tubes in Class A and a redesigned cabinet, three foot-switchable channels and two powerful voicing switches, the Koch Studiotone sound is reminiscent of British tube amplifiers of the 60s. The three channels (Clean, Overdrive &; Overdrive+) offer you from round, warm sounds to the rich EL84 Overdrive &; Compression. The 2-way "Mid Shift" switch allows you to raise the mid-frequencies by 800 Hz, and the 3-way "Bright" switch allows you to lower or raise the high frequencies for fine-tuning the upper range. However, some surprises can be found on the back. A serial effects loop, a recording output with "microphone placement" and speaker simulators, two line outputs (one unfiltered and one low level) and one "headphone out" jack. 4, 8, and 16 ohm speaker outputs allow for any combination of speakers, and the built-in Power Soak and speaker on/off switch allow the amplifier to play while the speaker is off for recording or headphones. A spring reverb gives the Koch Studiotone the richness in sound that you would expect from a classic tube amp.We believe that the Koch Studiotone is one of the most versatile and compact guitar amps on the market today.
